Rockin' It Up With The Shackeltons
The Shackeltons are a five piece rock and roll band who hail from Chambersburg, PA and are releasing their debut album on Loveless Records at the end of January. Hundreds, probably thousands of bands who sound like the Pixies/Black Rebel Motorcycle/Franz Ferdinand/etc... wish they could find their voices like this band has, even in light of the influences they wear on their sleeves. We're keeping our eyes and ears out for these guys; they've got some of that post-punk/indie-rock freshness that is invigorating. Like their songs, lead singer Mark Redding has got a quirky yet alluring vocal style you'll want to come back to often. --Bruce
